Care For Your Loved One. In A New Way.
Oceana at Inspīr offers you a new way to care for your loved one with dementia. One that provides exceptional care and life enrichment for them, and expert guidance and support to you. The result: peace of mind.
Oceana includes personalized, wellness-focused lifestyle programming, customized care plans, and a highly trained staff—all in a therapeutic and secure setting. Our evidence-based approach to memory care is integrative, intentional, interdisciplinary, intimate, and individualized, enabling our residents to get the most out of every moment, every day.
The Inspīr wellness experience is thoughtfully adapted for Oceana to enhance the lives of residents at all stages of dementia. We craft a lifestyle based on each resident’s unique interests, needs, and abilities—integrating our Nine Core Elements for physical, mental, and spiritual fulfillment. Lifestyle plays a key role in helping to improve the health and well-being of those with memory loss. Oceana seamlessly combines purposeful lifestyle programming and healing modalities with specialized care, delivered by our expertly trained staff.
Everything in Oceana is done with intention. From the environments we create to the care we provide to the experiences we deliver—intentional living is our guiding principle. Our purposefully designed living spaces offer uplifting experiences that stimulate the senses and spark memories. Skilled RN Care Managers thoughtfully adjust care plans as needs and abilities change over time. And our Life Enrichment Team supports the daily rhythm of our residents with evidence-based approaches and thoughtful, resident-centered programming.
Oceana harnesses the power of its team to deliver best-in-class dementia care. Medical Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, nutritionists, aides, dementia care and life enrichment specialists, and social workers all work in harmony—and in close collaboration with family—to deliver exceptional care. Oceana staff includes caregivers trained in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Lewy Body, and other types of dementia. Our dementia care training program sets the bar for excellence, preparing every staff member, from housekeeping to culinary to clinical, to provide care and service that is truly unmatched. And our care delivery model includes robust staffing ratios and on-site RNs and LPNs working around the clock to ensure our residents get what they need, when they need it.
We have dedicated a select number of adjacent floors in the building to Oceana. These secure floors employ a “small home” model, with 12 apartments per floor, a dedicated staff, and intentionally designed common spaces that promote a sense of home, connectedness, and well-being. Our purposeful signature programming follows a regular rhythm to promote familiarity, consistency, community, independence, cognitive stimulation, and meaningful social interaction.
Because dementia affects everyone differently, Oceana staff creates bespoke, multidimensional service plans tailored to each resident’s abilities, needs, desires, and goals. Our individualized approach to care and lifestyle is grounded in research and focused on resident-defined well-being and fulfillment. The Oceana team collaborates to support whole-person health and wellness, and to honor that which makes each resident unique.
Every member of the Inspīr team receives advanced emotion-based dementia training and certification from the National Alzheimer’s Association. Through this training, our staff is taught to understand and focus on individuals’ capabilities, as opposed to what they have lost. This approach allows our staff to help reduce difficult symptoms and promote positive emotions for our residents.
At Inspīr, we know you want your loved one to have the best memory care possible. And that’s exactly what you’ll find with Oceana. It’s care, in a new way.
