Inspīr’s Doors Are Open

INSPĪR SENIOR LIVING TEAM

After much anticipation, we are pleased to announce that the doors to Inspīr Carnegie Hill are officially open.

Inspīr Carnegie Hill is all about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. For Gregory Smith, President and CEO, the concept for Inspīr was driven by a desire to create something that would feel different and unique, with a greater focus on culture, healthcare, and lifestyle. “For us, it’s all about striving to deliver the very best experience for our residents.”

Enter the residence from Second Avenue, and it is easy to see that it has exceeded all expectations. Double-height ceilings in the lobby, a towering wall of green onyx rising behind the concierge desk, and with the handblown Seguso chandelier hanging from the ceiling, you may think you’ve walked into a five-star luxury hotel. This is just the experience Gregory Smith and his team had hoped to achieve.

The 23-story residence was designed by world-famous, award-winning Handel Architects. It includes many open spaces, such as the 17th floor SkyPark with several intimate seating areas, a wraparound terrace with gardens, and the Onyx bistro.

We’ve partnered with Forbes Travel Guide, the world-renowned authority on genuine Five-Star service, to provide the highest standards for our residents. Our dedicated team is standing by to welcome residents and ensure that they live a vibrant and fulfilled life.

Chief Clinical Officer, Brian Geyser, spearheads the development of the Inspīr health, wellness, and clinical care platform. He forges strategic partnerships with top health systems and clinical providers, and oversees all aspects of clinical operations and care delivery.

Sylvie Fayolle, General Manager, brings to Inspīr more than 20 years’ experience as a highly accomplished hotel general manager. She brings a fresh perspective to senior living and leads her team in delivering truly transformative experiences for residents and their families every day.

Marijo Smith, Senior Director of Integrated Care, believes in the power of exceptional care. Marijo is responsible for overseeing the execution of Inspīr’s signature Integrated Care Model by guaranteeing superior resident care and enhanced care programs. With her talented team, she ensures that every resident has a highly individualized care plan.

Our Associate Director of Resident Care, Francis Gonzales-Gottlieb, brings his deep knowledge of the nursing field and his experience in healthcare leadership. Additionally, his passion for honoring and caring for older adults makes him an ideal choice for Inspīr.

Our memory care program has an evidence-based approach to helping residents thrive at any stage of dementia. This includes intentional living through Inspīr’s Nine Core Elements, such as brain health, laughter, movement, and nature. The staff is guided and educated on practices that enhance residents’ independence and quality of life.

Leading our programming and experiences, Molly Fisher, Director of Program Innovation and Education, works directly with the Integrated Care Team. Together, they build innovative and engaging programs and provide education, resources, and support to residents, families, and care professionals.

Chef Giovanni Maffei has been training for this role since he was a young man. As a child, he watched his mother, a butcher, preparing pasta dishes, vegetables, and meals from scratch. He brings over 25 years of experience in the culinary world to his role at Inspīr, where he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the culinary services, including all planning and personnel.

Heading up our concierge team, Michelle Rubel, who has lived in New York for over 25 years, was, as she puts it, “born to be a concierge”. She knows the city and services like the back of her hand. She understands the expectations of our residents, and she and her team will be able to attend to their every need, from dry cleaning to dog walking.

Overseeing the care and safety of the building itself, Konstantine “Dino” Sigalas, our Chief Engineer, is responsible for facility operations, residence safety, and security management. He specializes in construction and construction management, ensuring Inspīr complies with all federal, state, and local regulations. Dino and his team maintain our high-quality operations standards—allowing residents to thrive in their new homes.

To uphold the oath we all took to exceed your expectations, we have implemented state-of-the-art technologies to enhance our infection control efforts and protect residents against COVID-19 and other viruses. These are not state-ordered mandates, but rather extra steps we’ve taken to keep our residents safe and healthy. You can read more about those efforts here.

Our leasing team is ready to welcome you to Inspīr Carnegie Hill. Director of Leasing, Laurie Thomas, brings to Inspīr a passion to help each person she encounters live their best life, regardless of what their needs may be. She strives to match every prospective resident with the uniquely gratifying experience they deserve and the unparalleled support they need, when they need it. She understands the difficulties that families face when searching for the right place to take care of a loved one, and helps individuals overcome these challenging times with grace and tact.

Please make an appointment and understand that we can allow only one guest or family at a time. All visitors are expected to wear face coverings and will have their temperatures checked upon arrival.

We look forward to introducing you to a new way of living on the Upper East Side.
